"I've always been drawn to dogs. From a young age, I knew I wanted to work with them in some capacity and I've spent the past 28+ years doing just that."
How I Work With Dogs and Their People
EXPERIENCE
28 years includes pet care, veterinary support, and dog nutrition, with 13 of those years teaching puppy and basic obedience classes, private in-home sessions and Board & Train* services.
TRAINING APPROACH
I use force-free training methods to build trust and improve communication.
My goal is to teach dogs and their owners how to work together.
SPECIALTIES
I focus on basic obedience, fear, anxiety, frustration, and reactivity. Puppy training covers socialization, manners, recall, potty training, and more — always tailored to each dog’s needs.
Philosophy & Passion
"I’ve had great success working with the many dogs that have come into my life. My goal is to understand how dogs see the world and improve our ability to communicate with them. Dogs have had a powerfully positive impact on my life—teaching me patience, reminding me to live in the moment, and showing me how joyful the simple things can be."
Training Principles
I use science-backed, force-free training methods to build trust and communication between dogs and their people. Every session is designed to support both the dog and the human, ensuring lasting results through patience and compassion.
Focus Areas
Creating a relationship based on trust is crucial for our dogs to thrive. I have a soft spot for dogs who are stuck in a fearful state. Helping them gain confidence and happiness is not only rewarding for them, but often transformative for their humans too.
Fun Fact
I currently reside in Long Beach with my partner Nick and our dog, Luna.
Outside of dog training, I also run the Jasmine Dragon Tea House, a unique mobile event experience where I serve specialty teas inside a beautifully decorated tent.
